This was my first project at Samsøe Samsøe in branding. I was tasked by the PR and marketing team to design a logo for an event in collaboration with photographer and stylist Paul Edwards. The event sent out influencers and brand personalities to the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. The brief called for a design combining our brand identity with Paul Edwards’ to design a logo to be applied across packaging and merchandise for the event.

I was inspired by the strong geometric shapes often used in logos for music and film festivals. I chose Paul Edwards’ bold red for the logo to stand out against the black shirts and fit his visual identity. The logo would set the tone for the rest of the event's visual identity, and I collaborated with the PR team to ensure it matched the tone they wanted to convey.

Once the logo was designed and pitched to the PR team, I worked on scaling it for different applications and communicating with the printing service. Final applications included merchandise, coffee cups, paper bags, and stickers.
